We are SO excited to announce the very first Social Media and Photography Adventure Workshop hosted by National Geographic adventure photojournalist Laura Grier, Instagram travel guru Nastasia Wong (Founder of Dame Traveler), and Sherene Hulugalle of Jasmine Vine. They will be leading and curating a visual and social media journey through Sri Lanka in partnership with Teardrop Resorts and Uga Escapes.
For 10-days you will embark on an unforgettable social media and photographic adventure across Sri Lanka, from the Tea Country, through Wildlife reserves, visiting ruins, beaches, hiking the famous pilgrimage to Adam's Peak at sunrise, and along the way staying with our different hotel partners across the country. This all-inclusive adventure will have you awestruck and coming back home with incredible experiences, imagery, and the knowledge of how to better leverage those to augment your own life and brand.
We are so lucky to have native Sri Lankan, Sherene Hulugalle, as our guide and floral guru and she is extremely passionate about her country and showing off all of it's hidden treasures to our elite group. I hope you will join us on this epic adventure to Sri Lanka! Space is limited!
SRI LANKA 10-DAY WORKSHOP ITINERARY
Day 1- Pick up at airport to Colombo. Rest and relax and enjoy the city
Day 2- Breakfast and then Head to the Cultural Triangle, Anuradhapura, to visit extensive archaeological ruins and a glimpse at the island's history.
Day 3- Early this morning you will visit more ruins of the ancient kingdom of Anuradhapura and then spend the rest of the day at leisure
Day 4- Breakfast, then journey to Camellia Hills, a land of green mountainous streams and steep hillsides full of tea, Cypurs and Eucalyptus trees.
Day 5- Early morning scenic train ride to tea country to tour a tea farm. Afternoon at leisure to rest up for starting the Adam's Peak Pilgrimage hike at night
Day 6- We will summit Adam's Peak at sunrise, have breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing and resting back at the hotel in Camellia Hills.
Day 7- We will head to Galle on the south coast of Sri Lanka to visit stunning beaches and rural fishing villages.
Day 8- Historical and architectural tour of Galle Fort. Then explore the cobblestone streets, visit the stilted fisherman, then head to Kumu beach for the night.
Day 9- Enjoy a day of leisure at the hotel or Kumu beach. You will have the option to learn a craft from local Kolam mask carving artisans.
Day 10- Airport transfer back to Colombo
